As noted from the EPA it is suggested that "cleaning heating and cooling system components (e.g., cooling coils, fans and heat exchangers) may improve the efficiency of your system, resulting in a longer operating life,
as well as some energy and maintenance cost savings."

Ventilation systems (Air Ducts) should be cleaned to prevent dust, mold and debris from re-entering your home with the use of heating and air
conditioning. 

Stated by The Laundry Alternative Inc. "However, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, there are an estimated annual 15,500 fires, 10 deaths and 10 injuries associated with the clothes dryer duct.
Several hundred people a year are also subjected to carbon monoxide poison-
ing from improper dryer vent setups. The financial costs come to nearly $100,000,000 per year."

Dryer Ducts also need to be clean to remove the debris from the vents to
allow free air flow and speed up the drying process.

What do we use? 

We use a special Hepa Vacuum called the Rotobrush. The Rotobrush is specially designed for this particular job.  The Rotobrush is equipped with
a rotating brush on the end of a 40 foot hose that loosens the dust in the
ducts and sucks it up at the same time.  Don't be fooled by imitators,
claiming their powerful vacuums can clean your ducts because it just won't work!  Dust and grime needs to be brushed loose before it can be removed
by vacuum suction.
